Recently, independent consultants were employed to prepare a discussion document on environmental guidelines for filming in sensitive natural and cultural environments. Benefits from this initiative include the establishment of one-stop film shops at the City of Cape Town, South Peninsula Municipality and National Parks Board, where there are facilities which handle everything from permitting, to hiring fire engines, traffic cops or closing streets for film shoots.
