The Residence is within walking distance of the acclaimed Le Must Restaurant established in 1985, voted EAT OUT top restaurant Northern Cape 2003/4 + STYLE TOP 10 restaurant in South Africa 2004 + MASTERCARD TOP 100 GOURMET restaurants 2004/5 + WINE MAGAZINE TOP 100 RESTAURANTS 2005. Le Must has been serving regional Kalahari cuisine with a European flair since 1985. Patrons include Mr. Mandela, Mr. Mbeki, Mr. F. W. de Klerk and many other statesman, politicians, celebrities, local and international clients.

Upington offers the ideal base sightsee, to Augrabies National Park, Witsand, Kakamas as well as a fascinating variety of locations that have been used for both national and international FILM SHOOTS. Upington is also the ideal stopover to the Kgalagadi National Park, Tswalu Game Reserve and Namibia. Upington is situated 800 km from BOTH Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Facillities

The eleven guest bedrooms vary in size and are individually decorated with a mixture of beautiful antique and contemporary furniture. In addition, there is crisp white percale cotton, private safes, satellite television and air-conditioning.

The spacious property offers Romeo and Juliet terrazzo-tiled balconies and private entrances. The presidential suite has a beautiful view over the oval pool and beyond that, the Orange River. There is also secure on and off street parking with a security service.

Le Must River Residence has been voted both a semi-finalist and finalist in the AA ACCOMMODATION travel awards for four years running - 2002/2003/2004/2005 and has received critical acclaim in national as well as international press.
