Nyala
River Lodge is situated in the Mohlabetsi Conservancy in the Limpopo
Province of South Africa.
Situated
on 4000 hectare where lion, cheetah, buffalo, leopard, rhino
and plains game roam. 7 Thatched rondavels graciously decorated
with en-suite shower toilets. Fully serviced with central kitchen,
lounge indoor dining and outside lapa. The viewing deck overlooks
a floodlit waterhole in the bed of the non-perennial Mohlabetsi
river. Self-catering or optional full board includes 2 game
drives per day or a game drive and guided bush walk.

NYALA
RIVER LODGE
Nyala River Lodge is situated on the banks of the Mohlabetsi River
(meaning "sweet waters"). The 7 large thatched rondavels
and thatched family cottage accommodating single groups from 2
to 14 guests in total at Nyala River Lodge are graciously decorated,
each comprising an en-suite bathroom. A modern central kitchen
- that is fully equipped - and an indoor dining area for the self-catering
enthusiasts.
ROOM DESCRIPTION:
Nyala Lodge is equipped with 7 luxury thatched rondavels and a
linked thatched roof family cottage each beautifully appointed
with ethic furnishings, draped in romantic fabrics that bring
about an atmosphere that is truly African. The beds are covered
in subtle Percale cotton sheeting and finished with ultra luxurious
duvets, giving guests luxurious comfort. Overhead fans whisper
gently to keep the pure African air circulating evenly in the
room.
Generous bathsheets are provided in the en-suite bathrooms while
the deck at Nyala - that is shaded by the enormous and ancient
ebony trees - juts out above the dry riverbed of the Mohlabetsi
River and affords wonderful views of the waterhole to complete
the Safari Experience.
FACILITIES:
The fully serviced lodge provides an extraordinary adventure for
nature lovers, where a tastefully decorated lounge area outside
- under the thatch - overlooks the seasonal river bed and water-hole.
An elevated wooden deck provides restful game viewing in the shade
of the large Weeping Boer-bean overlooking the river bed and water-hole.
Dining takes place in the “Boma” where the peaceful
outdoors assist in relaxing the soul. With self-catering as an
option, meals may be prepared in the kitchen or over the fire
in the “Boma”. The experience of Nyala will be etched
in your memory forever.
Our self-catering package include the accommodation, use of all
facilities, 2 game drives or a game drive and guided bushwalk
per day. Our Rangers are accredited and fully qualified and thus
ensure that the Guests receive excellent, informative as well
as highly entertaining game drives. All aspects of the Fauna &
Flora found in the Reserve are covered in great detail when you
experience one of the many Bush Trails offered by the qualified
Guides and Trackers at the Reserve.
